What are baby shower favors people will actually like?
The best favors for baby showers are the PRACTICAL baby shower gifts. People always like favors that they’ll actually use, not just something that you think is cute.
Here are my favorite baby shower favors people will actually like from this list:
- “A baby is brewing” mini coffee bean bags
- “A little honey is on the way” honey jars
- “From my shower to yours” soaps
- Custom hand sanitizer labels
- “Ready to pop” popcorn bags
These are definitely my top five favorite baby shower gift ideas for guests because each of them are common items that most guests will actually use!
Each of these baby shower gift ideas is small enough that you could add it to baby shower gift baskets or favor bags. Or, you can just gift any of these ideas on their own and they still make the PERFECT baby shower gifts!
CHEAP BABY SHOWER GIFTS FOR GUESTS:
This is such a cute baby shower favor for a "baby is brewing" theme! These bags are a super cute option on Etsy and then all you have to do is fill them with coffee.
HOW TO DIY THIS: Grab some paper bags from the dollar store and buy coffee beans in bulk to fill them! You can decorate each bag however you’d like with stickers, gems, or even ribbon. If you want to take it a step further you could even personalize them with each guest’s name.
I think everyone keeps honey stocked in their pantry so this is a super practical gift! These little honey jars from Etsy are so cute, and you can buy them with or without the dipper.
HOW TO DIY THIS: Buy little jars from Etsy and then buy the honey in bulk to fill them. You can make your own labels or order these custom jar labels for super cheap.
Literally everyone uses soap which makes this one of the best baby shower ideas for guests. If you order these ones from Etsy, you can even customize the wrap design.
HOW TO DIY THIS: Buy soap in bulk. Then just buy some craft paper and you can cut them into individual wraps for each bar of soap and write “from my shower to yours”. If you want to save even more money, you could even cut each bar of soap in half so that the favors are just mini soaps, which would still be so cute!
These baby in bloom seed cards are the cutest. They work as a thank you card AND they're embedded with wildflower seeds so your guests can go home and plant them!
HOW TO DIY THIS: Buy a bunch of seeds and little paper/plastic bags from the dollar store. Put a few seeds in each bag and tape these bags to a thank you card.
I'm obsessed with these "ready to pop" popcorn treats! You can buy these labels and bags on Etsy and then all you need to do is fill it with your popcorn of choice.
HOW TO DIY THIS: Instead of buying the labels and bags on Etsy, get paper or plastic bags from the dollar store along with some ribbon. Order some affordable custom labels and then fill the bags with your favorite popcorn.
If you're looking for a sweet way to thank your guests for their presence and their gifts, make some delicious tarts and call hand them out with a thank-you card that says "thanks for celebrating my cutie pie!"
These soy candles are SO cute! You can choose from pumpkin pie or apple cinnamon scents, and you can also choose from over 20 different labels.
Wax melts are such an easy and affordable gift for the guest of a baby shower! You can choose from so many different scents when you order these ones on Etsy.
HOW TO DIY THIS: Instead of gifting a whole bag of them to each guest, put 2-3 in a small box (which you can get from the dollar store). Give these to guests along with a thank-you card themed “a labor of love.” This will help save money while still giving them a sweet favor.
Here's another cute "ready to pop" idea. Buy these homemade pop tarts, or make them yourself! You could even get actual pop tarts to hand out with a thank you card.
These cinnamon bun wax melts are SO cute and would be perfect with a thank you card that has a pun about your "bun in the oven."

I could not resist adding these teddy bear candles to the list! You can choose from five different ribbon colors, including yellow and brown if you want something gender neutral. These are on the slightly pricier side but if you're having a small baby shower it would be more affordable!
HOW TO DIY THIS: Grab similar little candles and give them out with gummy bears or a little plushy teddy bear if you can find them at the dollar store as well!
These custom magnets are actually pretty affordable when you buy them in bulk. These are the perfect gift if you want something super specific to your baby shower that will always help your guests remember this fun day!
You can customize these lip balms with a label that has your name or baby shower date! And, you can choose from five different scents.
HOW TO DIY THIS: Buy bulk lip balms and blank labels. You can then design your own labels and print them. This way, you can make way more lip balms for way cheaper!
Here's another baby shower favor that's unique: this "poppin' bottles" bottle opener in the shape of a baby bottle!!
Here's another baby shower magnet idea. You can choose between nine different styles and any of them would be perfect for a baby girl shower.
I think these custom hand sanitizers are GENIUS because they're so useful! You can order the labels for $1 or less each (depending on how many you need) and just add them to any 1oz hand sanitizer bottles from the dollar store. This is one of my favorite personalized baby shower favors because of how practical they are.
I'm always a fan of any party favor that will help guests relax and unwind. These bath salts are the perfect size for party favors and I'm sure they will be so appreciated!
HOW TO DIY THIS: Buy some epsom salt in bulk along with these test tubes and some ribbon, if you want!
These "little pumpkin is on the way" scrunchies are the cutest, and perfect for a baby shower if your guests are all women.
If you're having a woodland- or jungle-themed shower, these mini woodland plushies would make the CUTEST favors! You can also choose farm animals or safari animals.
You can never go wrong gifting cookies to people. These baby shower cookies feel like handmade gifts while still being so aesthetic.
HOW TO DIY THIS: You can easily turn this into one of the best DIY gifts by baking your own cookies, putting each in a plastic bag from the dollar store, and then tying ribbon on the top with gift tags that say “thank you” (or whatever you want it to say).
When in doubt, you can't go wrong with chocolate! I love how these ones have a little sticker on the bottom to celebrate your little girl or boy! This would be a great gender reveal idea if you plan to do a gender reveal at your shower.
