Fuzzy rugs look outdated and teen-ish to most people… rustic and boho is where it’s at.
If you don’t like the rustic/boho vibe, you can totally opt for a nice cotton rug like this, which basically will go with any look you’re going for!

This is one of the best dorm room decoration ideas because it takes up NO space but looks so good.
Simply grab some of these eucalyptus or ivy vines and hang them across your ceiling.

If your dorm room already comes with a mirror (some do, so definitely check first), you can just opt to get a simple blanket ladder instead. Same concept, just without the mirror attached!

6. Have a canopy (without breaking the rules!!)
This is such an easy and pretty hack, and will also give you some more privacy if you have a roommate.
Just grab some command hooks and some curtains and hang up the curtains by attaching each corner to a command hook.
